How to Find Us

Visiting Jet Age Museum by Car

Location: Jet Age Museum is at Meteor Business Park, off Cheltenham Road East (the B4063), on the north side of Gloucestershire Airport.

Look for the traffic lights between the large white Safran building and the Ontic building. Turn off the main road into Meteor Business Park at the lights and the Museum’s blue gates will be on your right (see pics below).

There is no pedestrian or vehicle access to the Museum from the Airport.
If using a Satellite Navigation System and postcode, please note that this will take you to the eastern entrance of Meteor Business Park from where you will need to follow either the main road or the internal Business Park road westbound until you arrive at Jet Age Museum at the western end of the Business Park.

Visit Jet Age Museum by Air

Why not experience Jet Air Museum by flying here in your own aircraft?  Note the airport is ‘PPR’.

Grass taxiway, ‘R’, accesses the museum’s grass parking area.  Advise ATC that you wish to taxi to the museum and they’ll direct you accordingly.

Please note, while those flying to the Museum can access via the runway, there is no pedestrian or vehicle access to the Museum from the Airport.

Visit Jet Age Museum by Bus

The No. 94 bus route between Gloucester bus station (near the railway station) and the Promenade in Cheltenham passes the Meteor Business Park entrance in both directions.
 
The bus stops opposite the white Safran building every 10 minutes Monday to Saturday and roughly every 30 minutes on Sundays and Bank Holidays. The ‘Dowty’ stops are approximately 2 minutes’ walk from the Museum.

 

Visit Jet Age Museum by Rail

The nearest railway stations are at Cheltenham Spa or Gloucester.  Therefore, we recommend visitors choose either the no. 94 bus route or a taxi to complete your rail journey to the Museum.

Parking at Jet Age Museum

The Museum does not charge for parking.

Cars and Small Minibuses

The Museum has gravel car parking spaces for approximately 34 vehicles. There are also 2 tarmac disabled access parking spaces to the front of the
museum with a central transfer space.

At busy times, when ground conditions allow, a grass overflow car park may be available for additional vehicles. Public parking on Meteor Business Park is limited. If you do need to park on the Business Park please respect the needs of local businesses and their customers and do not obstruct access to premises or park in designated customer parking spaces.

The Museum car park does not have street lighting so care may be required when returning to vehicles on late afternoons in winter.

Bicycles

There is a cycle rack for 6 bikes adjacent to the North East corner of the Museum building.

Motorcycles

Wood plates are available to support motorcycle stands when using the gravel car parking areas. Please ask at Reception.

Coaches and Large Minibuses

Our apologies, there is no coach parking available on the Museum site on public opening days.

Coaches may drop off passengers at the Museum gates but will need to park elsewhere.

 

Arriving at Jet Age Museum

Main Entrance and Reception

The entrance to the Museum building is via the double doors visible on your right as you enter the Museum grounds. You will be welcomed on arrival by volunteer receptionists who will provide information you may require for your visit.
