The Jet Age Museum exists with the primary aim to “Preserve the Past, Inspire the Future.”
It’s recent 5 year forward plan sets out specific objectives necessary to achieve this aim. It also seeks to provide a benefit both to the public and to the local community with a strong focus on the “next generation”.
Our analysis shows that 25% of our visitors are under ten years old so we believe that we are well positioned to “inspire the future”.
Established 1986
Jet Age Museum first opened in 1986. It moved from Brockworth to a dedicated facility that was created at its present site at Meteor Business Park in Gloucester in 2013, with the official inauguration taking place on 9 May 2014 when it was formally opened by its Patron, Captain Eric Brown RN.
Our Collection
The Jet Age Museum houses a unique collection of artefacts including aircraft, engines, cockpits and systems equipment from the early days of flight through to the current era. It also houses a historical archive rich in facts and data from the age of flight.
So, please come and visit our museum where you will meet our volunteers, many of whom have worked within the Aviation industry, and take the opportunity to interact with our many artefacts on display. The museum does rely entirely upon donations in order to continue to thrive so please donate accordingly.

Opening Hours: Standard hours are Saturday – Sunday 10am – 4pm. View additional days.
Admission: There is no charge for admission to the Museum site, to the building or any exhibits, but donations to help meet our running costs and to fund our expansion plans are most definitely welcome! Click here to donate.
